1)

Low risk business

:

7 days after all complete documents are received

2)

Risky business (restaurants, all food/non-food factories and composite)

:

14 days after all complete documents are received

3)

Commercial signboards

:

10 days after all complete documents are received

4)

Billboard

:

1 – 3 months

 

REMINDER TO THE LICENSEES

1)

License will be sent by post on or before 15 January every year and if it is not received within that period, please collect the license copy at the Licensing Division, 2nd Floor, Ipoh City Council Building. For new licensee, license will be sent within a period of 7 to 14 days after the application has been approved.

2)

The license must be paid 2 weeks from the date the license is received or issued, and the latest by 31 March each year to avoid compound.

3)

The license payment can be made by the following methods:

  • MBI payment counter at Greentown or the old MBI office at Jalan Bandar or any MBI mobile counters only
  • Payment by post using cheque/bank draft/postal money by writing the following at the back of the cheque/bank draft/postal money :
    • Licensee name / Company
    • Telephone Number
    • License account number

4)

If the business has been terminated, please inform the Licensing Division immediately, either by writing a letter or to go to the division in person and filling the appropriate form

5)

Businesses which are found to operate without a valid license from MBI will be compounded RM100.00 or RM200.00 without any notice.
