18 January 2020 - Two children of MBI staff, Adik Muhammad Dzulkarnain Dzulkafli, son of Dzulkafli Lin and Muhamad Naufal Jerfan Mohd Zainudin, son of Mohd Zainudin Khalid, represented 250 children of the MBI staff in receiving the Back To School aid programme this morning.

Ipoh Mayor Dato' Rumaizi Baharin@ Md Daud presented the aid at Azlan Shah Hall, 10th Floor, MBI Building, Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil, Ipoh. Also present were Puncak Emas Infra Sdn. Bhd General Manager Dato' Mazelan Mohamed and Canggih Sutera Sdn Bhd Managing Director Rozamir Zulkifli.

The programme, organised by Ipoh City Council, Puncak Emas Infra Sdn. Bhd. and Canggih Sutera Sdn. Bhd., a supplier, wholesaler and manufacturer of school uniforms, was held to lessen the burden of parents in buying school supplies as well as carrying out corporate social responsibility (CSR) towards the children of MBI staff and People's Housing Programme (PPR) tenants in the B40 category.

Each student received a schoolbag, a pair of uniforms, shoes and socks and a stationery set.

On 14 January, 50 students from Rumah Buntong Harmoni flats and Kinta Heights Flats also received Back To School 2021 aid programme at two locations, namely the Buntong Harmoni Flats KRT Centre (25 students) and Kinta Heights Flats KRT Centre (25 students). Clr Jayagopi a/l M. Subramaniam, MBI Councillor cum MBI Community and Unity Subcommittee Chairman presented the aid.

Hopefully, such aid will also be carried out by all parties, including private agencies and NGOs in ensuring the welfare of Ipoh residents is always taken care of in line with MBI's efforts to make Ipoh a Clean, Green and Progressive City.
