2000 PARTICIPANTS PARTICIPATED IN THE IPOH LOW CARBON DAY PROGRAM
22 December 2024 - The Ipoh Low Carbon Day monthly program organized by the Ipoh City Council has closed the curtain on the 76th Series for the year 2024 successfully.
An estimated 2000 participants with the support of 50 tent participants made the program a success.
The program lasts for 3 hours with the theme of International Volunteer Day (International Volunteer Day) which is celebrated on December 5 every year and has been recognized at the international level by the United Nations (UN) since 1985.
The ILCD program was also joined by the Ipoh Industrial Training Institute which has been willing to support and cooperate in organizing the 2024 TVET Fun Run 5KM with 500 registered participants.
The Industrial Training Institute (ILP) is under the Ministry of Human Resources established to provide and implement pre-employment skills training programs to meet the needs of the country's industrial sector.
The state of Perak also set the goal of becoming a low-carbon state in an effort to curb the phenomenon of climate change. The government is confident that Malaysia's desire to make Malaysia zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 can be realized.
Mitigation and adaptation measures can reduce the impact of climate change and global warming should be given due attention.
In line with that, the Green Energy Asia Asia (GEA) tent has launched a Used Cooking Oil Collection campaign, where every amount of used oil is processed to be converted into biodiesel.
