COURTESY VISIT BY BANK MUAMALAT ON MAYOR OF IPOH

4 JULY 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah received a courtesy visit from a delegation of Bank Muamalat Malaysia at the Mayor's Office, Ipoh City Council (MBI).

The visit aimed to strengthen strategic ties between the Islamic banking institution and the local government in supporting economic growth and development of Ipoh city.

The Bank Muamalat delegation, led by Bank Muamalat Regional Director Houzey Othman Mohd Hashim, shared information on Sharia-compliant banking services and potential collaborative opportunities, particularly in economic development, local entrepreneurship, and community financial sustainability.

The Ipoh Mayor warmly welcomed the visit and expressed appreciation for Bank Muamalat's willingness to contribute towards the progress and well-being of Ipoh city residents through an inclusive and high-impact approach.
