COURTESY VISIT BY IPOH NATIONAL ART GALLERY DIRECTOR ON MAYOR OF IPOH

IPOH, 6 APRIL 2026 – Ipoh National Art Gallery Director Norazmah Rashid paid a courtesy visit on Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah at the Ipoh City Council (MBI) building today.

The visit aimed to strengthen strategic ties between the Ipoh National Art Gallery and Ipoh City Council, besides discussing potential cooperation in strengthening the development of visual arts and cultural activities in Ipoh city.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the implementation of community art programmes, organising exhibitions and initiatives that can attract the involvement of the local community and tourists to Ipoh as an arts and cultural destination.

The Mayor of Ipoh welcomed this collaborative effort and expressed MBI’s commitment to continue supporting the development of the arts sector as a catalyst for economic growth and community well-being.

Hopefully, this courtesy visit can be the starting point for closer and high-impact cooperation between the two parties in the future.
