COURTESY VISIT BY PERAK CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR ON MAYOR OF IPOH

IPOH, 8 OCTOBER 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah received a courtesy visit from Perak Chemistry Department Director ChM Ramlee Ibrahim at the Ipoh City Council (MBI) building today.

The visit aimed to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Ipoh City Council and the Perak Chemistry Department in environmental management, hazardous chemical control, as well as improving the quality of laboratory and scientific analysis to support sustainable and safe urban development.

During the meeting, both parties also shared views and collaborative ideas that could be explored in the future, particularly in the areas of water quality monitoring, scheduled waste management and scientific research to strengthen policies and implementation of green projects in Ipoh City.

The Mayor expressed his appreciation for the Perak Chemistry Department’s willingness to establish strategic relationship with MBI, in line with efforts to make Ipoh a Smart and Prosperous City.

This courtesy visit reflects the continued commitment of both agencies to strengthen technical and professional cooperation towards the development of a more sustainable and safe city for all.
