GOING DOWN TO THE GROUND (TURPA) BY CITY SECRETARY TO TAMAN PULAI MUTIARA, IPOH
IPOH, 10 JULY 2025 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) continued its commitment to addressing community problems as City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak went down to the ground (TURPA) to the Taman Pulai Mutiara area this afternoon.
The visit aimed to inspect and assess complaints regarding a gated and guarded community scheme operating without valid approval in the residential area. Also present were the relevant MBI Department Directors and representatives from the Pulai Mutiara Residents Association.
The on-site physical monitoring results revealed that the gated and guarded community scheme implemented in the park did not receive official approval from the local authority. Complaints were received concerning the inconvenience faced by homeowners who must manually open the boom gate to enter their residential area. MBI is currently conducting a detailed investigation into this issue.
Engagement sessions with residents were held to gain a clearer picture of the issues raised, as well as finding practical and comprehensive approaches to solutions.
This visit reflects MBI's commitment to ensuring that every community complaint is given due attention, while also supporting the development of a prosperous, safe and sustainable city. MBI hopes that the issue can be addressed in stages with the cooperation of all parties involved, for the well-being and harmony of the local community.
