HRH SULTAN OF PERAK OFFICIATES LAUNCH OF THE BOOK UNIVER-CITIES: COMBATTING EXISTENTIAL CLIMATE CHANGE – VOLUME V

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 OCTOBER 2026 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, Chancellor of Universiti Malaya, officiated the launch of the book Univer-Cities: Combatting Existential Climate Change – Volume V at Universiti Malaya today.

Also gracing the event was HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim.

Published by World Scientific Publishing and edited by Prof. Anthony SC Teo, the 168-page book highlights climate change issues and the importance of strategic collaboration and knowledge sharing in addressing environmental challenges.

After the launch ceremony, Sultan Nazrin also visited the exhibition Legacy in Canvas: A Tribute to Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah.

Also present at the programme were Universiti Malaya Board of Directors Chairman Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar, Universiti Malaya Vice-Chancellor Dato’ Seri Professor Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman, National Council of Women’s Organisations Malaysia (NCWO) President Professor Emerita Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin and Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah.
