IPOH CITY COUNCIL WINS BRONZE MEDAL AT INTEGRITY, GOVERNANCE AND ANTI-CORRUPTION AWARD (AIGA) 2025
PUTRAJAYA, 22 OCTOBER 2025 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) has once again achieved a notable success by being listed among the 10 best public sector agencies and winning the Bronze Medal at the Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Award (AIGA) 2025, held at Dewan Perdana, Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) today.
In the full results announced, MBI was recognised as among the 10 best government agencies out of 131 agencies nationwide that participated in AIGA 2025, a proud achievement for MBI staff and all Ipoh city residents.
The prestigious award was presented by Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, and received by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, representing the Ipoh City Council.
This success is a recognition of MBI’s continuous commitment and efforts in strengthening a culture of integrity, practising excellent governance and implementing anti-corruption measures consistently at the local authority level.
The achievement is a motivational catalyst for all MBI staff to continue strengthening the practice of integrity and professionalism in every aspect of administration and service delivery to the city community.
This recognition not only elevates MBI’s image as an organisation with integrity and transparency, but also proves that a work culture based on good governance principles can produce excellent performance and increase public trust in local government institutions.
The Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Award (AIGA) is an annual government initiative that aims to recognise public and private sector organisations that demonstrate excellence in implementing the values of integrity, good governance and anti-corruption efforts, in line with the government’s aspiration towards an administration that is clean, with high integrity and accountability.
Adding to the pride, MBI was the only public agency from Perak to make it into the list of 10 best public agencies at AIGA 2025, after passing strict evaluation and comprehensive screening conducted by the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM), the main organiser of the award.
