IPOH MAYOR ATTENDED PERAK STATE TOURISM ASSOCIATION (PTA) TEH TARIK MEET
15 November 2024 - Y.Bhg. Dato' Rumaizi bin Baharin@Md Daud, Mayor of Ipoh attended the Perak Tourism Association (PTA) Teh Tarik Meet this afternoon.
It brought together tourism industry players with representatives from government agencies.
This effort is good and should be continued to strengthen relationships and networking among tourism industry players.
The meeting organized by the PTA, which specifically aims to prepare for Visit Malaysia Year 2026, is very appropriate.
The Ipoh City Council also plans to make preparations at the City Council level using 2025 as a preparatory year.
The Ipoh City Council calls on all players in the tourism industry to join hands and collaborate to plan the best for the city of Ipoh in particular and the state of Perak in general.
With the status of 'Greater Ipoh', the Ipoh City Council can now expand its involvement to include IPOH, KAMPAR, BATU GAJAH and KUALA KANGSAR.
Through 'Greater Ipoh', tourism products can also be strengthened and tourism agencies can provide more attractive tourism packages so that tourists are attracted to stay for at least two nights and three days.
The Ipoh City Council will hold a series of discussions with all parties to determine the roles that can be played by certain groups.
Hopefully, each entrepreneur will take stock of their respective products and improve where they need to be improved to provide the best service to tourists.
