LAUNCH CEREMONY OF SUNWAY MEDICAL CENTRE IPOH

IPOH, 29 OCTOBER 2025 – The Launch Ceremony of Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh was held at the medical centre building this afternoon.

HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim graced the occasion and officiated the launch ceremony.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja General (Rtd) Dato' Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin and State Assembly Speaker Dato’ Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid.

Sunway Group Founder and Chairman Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah and Sunway Healthcare Group President Datuk Lau Beng Loon were also in attendance.

Also present to show his support was Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, who expressed the local authority’s commitment towards the development of the healthcare industry in Ipoh City in particular and the state of Perak in general.

With this launch, Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh is expected to become a new landmark in Perak’s healthcare landscape, offering world-class facilities and multidisciplinary medical expertise for the benefit of the community.
