MAYOR OF IPOH ATTENDS PERAK SEJAHTERA 2030 EXECUTIVE DIALOGUE TOGETHER WITH MBI COUNCILLORS & DEPARTMENT HEADS

IPOH, 6 AUGUST 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah together with Ipoh City Council (MBI) Councillors and Department Heads attended the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan Executive Dialogue Programme: Perak Menteri Besar with Councillors and Local Authorities (PBT) at Galasa Caldwell, Ipoh.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad delivered his message and the state’s long-term development aspirations in line with the direction of the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan.

The event was also graced with a welcome speech by State Housing and Local Government Committee Chairman Sandrea Ng Shy Ching.

The programme aimed to provide comprehensive exposure to the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan – an inclusive, sustainable and people-oriented state development framework envisioned by the Menteri Besar. This plan serves as a strategic guide towards making Perak a more prosperous, sustainable and resilient state by 2030.

Also present were Councillors, Presidents, Secretaries and Department Heads from the various Local Authorities (PBT) throughout the state. Their presence opened up space for strategic cooperation between agencies and strengthened the comprehensive and integrated implementation of government policies.

At the same event, the Ipoh City Council (MBI) also received appreciation for being awarded the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour in recognition of MBI's continued commitment to implementing sustainable and high-impact local development.  

This prestigious award recognises Ipoh's role as a 'Donut City', a regenerative city that emphasises balance between social well-being, environmental sustainability and inclusive economic development.
