MBI VS TNB FRIENDLY FOOTBALL IN CONJUNCTION WITH IPOH SMART CITY CUP 2024
30 October 2024 - The Ipoh City Council (MBI) officers' football team, known as the MBI Cougars, continued to prove their superiority when defending the 2024 Ipoh Smart City Cup which was won last year after defeating the Tenaga Nasional officers' football team (PDR XZ FT) in a friendly football match last night.
The match, which took place at the Perak Stadium, saw MBI successfully eliminate the opposing team with a score of 3-0.
Both teams managed to show good quality play in addition to providing an entertaining competition for the supporters who attended the match.
The goals for the MBI team were scored by Muhammad Amirul Safwan, Muhammad Fadli Zahari and Mohamad Zulhazwan Haris.
As a result of the victory, MBI successfully won the 2024 Ipoh Smart City Cup for the second consecutive year, which was accepted by the City Secretary, Ahmad Munir bin Ishak as the MBI Team Leader. The winning trophy and medal were presented by Mohd Suhairi bin Mohammad Shah, Head of State Retail of Perak.
