MBI – TNB FRIENDLY BOWLING COMPETITION: STRENGTHENING BONDS

IPOH, 3 OCTOBER 2025 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Perak once again competed in the Friendly Bowling Competition held at Ampang Superbowl Ipoh last night.

This third edition of the competition successfully brought together 42 participants, comprising staff of both MBI and TNB. The programme not only aimed to strengthen friendship, but also served as a platform to further enhance close cooperation between the two organisations, particularly at the management and department head levels.

Besides, the friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout the competition further enhanced the spirit of sportsmanship and togetherness among the participants.

The competition’s opening ceremony was officiated by Mohd Suhairi Mohamad Shah, GM Retail & Stakeholder, TNB Perak.

Also present to enliven the event were MBI Valuation Director Sr Burhanuddin Maamor, representing the Mayor of Ipoh, MBI Licensing Director Sharulnizam Jaafar, Ir. Ts. Bakri bin Zamri – Lead State Retail Customer, Partner Engagement (Perak), Ir. Ts. Rohaizan Shamsuddin – Lead Customer Care (Perak) and Mohd Toha Abdul Manaf – Lead State Retail Partner (Perak).

In a spirited match, the TNB team emerged as the Overall Champion with a total pinfall of 6,863, defeating the MBI team who scored 6,485 pins.

The winners received plaques and hampers, while the Overall Champion took home the Challenge Trophy, a symbol of the championship and the spirit of friendship that is hoped to be further strengthened in future events.
