PERAK FMM DELEGATION PAYS COURTESY VISIT ON MAYOR OF IPOH
IPOH, 8 AUGUST 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah received a courtesy visit from the Perak Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), led by its Chairman Chua Kay Lin, at the Ipoh City Council (MBI) Building.
The visit aimed to strengthen the strategic collaboration between the industrial sector and local authorities, particularly in efforts to improve industrial facilities, facilitate investment, and boost sustainable local economic growth.
Among the main topics discussed were MBI's support for the development of industrial areas, improvement of service delivery systems, compliance with environmental standards, as well as potential cooperation in the fields of green economy and digital transformation.
During the discussion session, the Mayor stressed on Ipoh City Council's commitment to supporting the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030 and opening space for closer collaboration with the Perak FMM in order to make Ipoh a sustainable, livable, competitive and inclusive city.
Also present at the meeting were Perak FMM Former Chairman Tan Seow Heng, Vice Chairman Tony Cheam, Vice Chairman Edmund KK Wong, Manager/Branch Head Nicole Choe, FMM Senior Manager/Branch Mentor Louis Gnanapragasam and MBI Councillor Tang Cheng Wei.
This meeting reflects MBI's continued commitment to strengthening ties with industry players to realise Ipoh's potential as a progressive and resilient investment hub.
