PERAK STATE LEVEL EVE OF MAAL HIJRAH 1447H CELEBRATION

IPOH, 26 JUNE 2025 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad attended the Eve of Maal Hijrah 1447H Celebration, which was held in a blessed and meaningful atmosphere.

The event, held in conjunction with the turn of the new Hijrah year, was also attended by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, state government leaders, government officers, religious figures, preachers, university students and members of the public.

With the theme "Hijrah dan Kelestarian: Menyatukan Ummah, Memulihara Bumi", this year's celebration emphasises the shared responsibility in safeguarding environmental sustainability for future generations. The theme also reflects the awareness that the earth we inhabit today is a trust to be passed on in a better condition to the next generation.

The event was enriched with various spiritual elements, such as the recitation of doa, nasyid performances, and a special Maal Hijrah talk on the values of the Prophet Muhammad's migration – as an inspiration for personal transformation and strengthening community unity.

This celebration not only commemorates a historic event in Islam, but also serves as a platform to renew the resolve and commitment of Muslims to progress in all aspects of life in accordance with religious principles and sustainable development.
