PERAK STATE LEVEL MAAL HIJRAH 1447H CELEBRATED MEANINGFULLY

IPOH, 27 JUNE 2025 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Perak State Level Maal Hijrah 1447H Celebration at the Casuarina@Meru Convention Centre in Meru Raya this morning.

His Royal Highness was accompanied by HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, further enhancing the grace and blessings to this meaningful occasion, which symbolises spiritual migration and the empowerment of the Muslim community towards a more prosperous life.

HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah also graced the event that brought together various segments of the Muslim community from throughout the state.

Also present to enliven the occasion were Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, state government leaders, senior government officers, religious figures, university students, preachers and members of the public.

This year's Maal Hijrah celebration was themed "Hijrah dan Kelestarian: Menyatukan Ummah, Memulihara Bumi", in line with the aspiration to build a united Muslim community in the effort to safeguard environmental sustainability for the well-being of future generations.

Among the key highlights of the ceremony were the recitation of doa, a nasyid performance, and the main event – Presentation of the Tokoh Maal Hijrah Perak 1447H Award, in recognition of an individual who has contributed significantly to the development of the ummah in the state.

Hopefully, this event can serve as a catalyst for renewed spirit among Muslims to continue striving towards a better life, based on comprehensive and sustainable Islamic teachings,
