VISIT BY IPOH CITY COUNCIL DELEGATION TO JOHOR BAHRU CITY COUNCIL STRENGTHENS STRATEGIC RELATIONS BETWEEN LOCAL AUTHORITIES

IPOH, 9 OCTOBER 2025 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) conducted a benchmarking visit to the Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB) in an official visit that took place in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.

The 30-member delegation was led by MBI Management Services Director Normala Latiff, and was warmly received by MBJB Management Services Director Abdul Aziz Ithnin and MBJB Information Technology Director Fadzil Mohamad.

The visit aimed to learn about the implementation of portal management. The MBI portal is very important as it serves as the main digital gateway for Ipoh residents to access information, services and official interactions with MBI. The MBI portal reflects the level of professionalism, transparency and efficiency, and encompasses various key functions related to public services, administration, payments and complaints.

MBI greatly appreciates such visits, which serve as an important platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge transfer and sharing of best practices among Local Authorities (PBT). This initiative is believed to have a positive impact on the continuous effort to improve service delivery quality and strengthen inter-agency cooperation for the well-being of the people.

The visit concluded with a photography session and an exchange of souvenirs between both parties as a symbolic gesture of the close and continuous collaborative relationship.
