50 MBI STAFF CARED FOR IN CONJUNCTION WITH DEEPAVALI

IPOH, 28 OCTOBER 2026 – A total of 50 Ipoh City Council (MBI) staff received contributions in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration through the MBI Prihatin (MBI Cares) Programme.

The contributions were presented today by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah.

Also present at the programme were Clr. Dato’ Mazlan Abd. Rahman, MBI Chief Whip Wong Kar Keat, MBI Councillors and heads of departments.

This annual programme, organised by the MBI Community Services Department, reflects the Council's commitment in instilling the values of care, togetherness and harmony among its staff.

The contributions, in the form of festive cash gifts and boxes of sweets, are expected to bring the joy of Deepavali to staff celebrating the festival, thereby strengthening the spirit of unity and familiness among the MBI community.
