ASSESSMENT TAX 2025 LUCKY DRAW

6 March 2025 – Ipoh Mayor Dato' Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud officiated the Assessment Tax 2025 Lucky Draw Ceremony this morning. Also present were Dato' Mazlan Abd. Rahman, MBI Chief WHIP Clr. Wong Kar Keat, Council Members, City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak, Senior Directors and Department Heads of MBI.

The Council conducted a draw today for 228 lucky draw winners, i.e., 200 winners for consolation prizes and 28 winners for the main prizes. For the main prizes, the draw will be held again on a date to be set to determine the grand prize to be won.

Participation in the Lucky Draw for Assessment Tax 2025 ended on 28 February 2025. This year, the Council has offered 228 attractive prizes in the form of cash and various fantastic items totalling RM 100,000 to be won.

Lucky residents have the opportunity to win the grand prize, which is a Produa Bezza 1.0G. Apart from that, the Council also offers various attractive prizes in the form of 2 motorcycles, a 65-inch Television, a 620-litre Refrigerator, Apple iPads, Laptops, a 10kg washing machine, cash and various interesting electrical items.

For early payers of Assessment Tax 2025, the Council has provided a rebate of up to RM5.00 as a token of appreciation for the first 20,000 early payers, subject to terms and conditions. We wish to inform that the rebate quota for the 20,000 early payers has been fully used up at the beginning of January 2025.

Starting from 2025, the Council has also opened the opportunity to participate for ALL payment channels for those making One-Year Assessment Tax payments and without arrears, i.e., at the Ipoh City Council Payment Counters, Post Office Counters, PBT Perak Counters, and online payments via the MBI Portal (d-mbi@ipoh), PBTPay, Jompay and internet banking.

For online payments and through collection agents, the lucky draw slips will be processed automatically by the Council. This is a step to encourage residents to make payments without having to visit the counters but still be able to participate in the Lucky Draw.

For the collection of one-year assessment tax bill payments, the Council has recorded 131,272 bills with a total payment of RM 60.79 million.

May the continued solid support from the residents to the Council facilitate in realising the aspiration to make Ipoh a Smart and Prosperous City.
