HANDHOLDING PROGRAMME FOR PREPARATION / STRENGTHENING OF SERVICE SECURITY MANAGEMENT PLAN

IPOH, 14 OCTOBER 2025 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) today organised a Handholding Programme for Preparation/Strengthening of Service Security Management Plan at the Ipoh Convention Centre (ICC).

The briefing was delivered by Anuar Seran, Director of the Kedah Office of the Chief Government Security Officer (CGSO), and the participants comprised senior MBI officers.

Prior to the programme, Anuar Seran paid a courtesy call on MBI City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak.

The meeting provided space for exchanging views on the implementation of policies and best practices for service continuity at the local authority level.

Also shared at the session was the Service Continuity Management Plan (SCMP), which is a holistic plan encompassing resources, processes, roles and responsibilities to ensure that an organisation's critical services can continue and be restored immediately in the event of a disruption or disaster.

The SCMP aims to ensure that the organisation is always ready, has high resilience and its core functions are not unaffected, with emphasis on clear communication, information accessibility and effective leadership during a crisis.
