INTEGRITY, GOVERNANCE AND ANTI-CORRUPTION AWARD (AIGA) 2025 EVALUATION @ MBI
IPOH, 8 SEPTEMBER 2025 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) today received a visit from the Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Award (AIGA) 2025 evaluation panel for a field evaluation session held at Dewan Azlan Shah Hall, 10th floor, MBI Building.
The welcome speech was delivered by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, who warmly welcome and expressed his appreciation to the evaluation panel led by Mazwane Musa (IIM), together with Adjunct Professor Mohamad Faisal Abdul Malik (MIA) and Muhd Amin Alamin Salam (NIOSH).
In his speech, the Mayor emphasised that this assessment process is not merely a recognition, but a valuable opportunity for improving organisational governance. He also shared several key initiatives that have been implemented by MBI, including:
a) MBI Strategic Plan 2021-2030 as a blueprint for holistic development,
b) Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (ICCACS 2025-2029),
c) Anti-Corruption Management System MS ISO 37001:2025,
d) MBI BUDGET IDEA involving the participation of Ipoh residents,
e) FIN@SHARIAH innovation which won the MALA 2025 Gold Medal,
f) The concept of Ipoh as a Donut Economy City & Smart City 2030,
g) MyAduan@MBI system which was developed in-house.
He stressed MBI's commitment to continue strengthening integrity, governance and transparency for the well-being of the people, despite facing challenges in terms of human resources, expertise and public perception.
The event was also attended by City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak, along with department heads and staff of MBI.
As part of the visit, the evaluation panel was also taken to the Radio TV MBI Studio, which is one of MBI's creative initiatives in expanding the dissemination and sharing of information to the residents of Ipoh city.
