IPOH CITY COUNCIL SENIOR OFFICERS ASSOCIATION (PADUAN) – A SYMBOL OF MBI UNITY AND STRONG LEADERSHIP
IPOH, 16 OCTOBER 2025 – The Ipoh City Council Senior Officers Association (PADUAN) continues to be a symbol of unity and strong leadership of the Ipoh City Council (MBI), reflecting the spirit of togetherness, professionalism and strong values of integrity among MBI management staff.
Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah expressed his appreciation to all PADUAN members for their commitment and continuous efforts in strengthening the spirit of togetherness and professionalism throughout its more than three decades of establishment. The appreciation was conveyed during PADUAN’s 37th Anniversary Dinner tonight.
Also present were PADUAN President Ir. Ts. Arif Mohd Zainudin, City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak, former presidents, committee members and senior MBI officers.
The Mayor also emphasised that PADUAN plays a key role as a leadership development platform and a medium to strengthen strategic relationships among senior MBI officers.
"PADUAN is not just an internal association, but also a leadership development platform that has produced many prominent figures in local government administration in Perak," he said, expressing pride in the contributions of former presidents who now hold important positions in other municipal councils.
He also stressed that the real strength of MBI does not solely rely on its administrative structure, but is centred on the spirit of cooperation, unity and values of belonging that are closely intertwined among officers and staff.
The Mayor also called PADUAN to continue being a driver of a culture of excellence and to play an active role in facing the challenges of the digitalisation era and the urban sustainability agenda.
"We need a management team that is strategic, innovative and ambitious. I am confident that PADUAN can be an inspiration to all MBI staff to continue serving with dedication, integrity and responsibility," he elaborated.
This meaningful event also honoured retirees from among PADUAN members and former presidents, as a gesture of appreciation for their services and contributions in developing the MBI organisation.
The Mayor also extended his heartiest congratulations to PADUAN on its 37th anniversary, and expressed his gratitude to the secretariat and all parties who made the event a success.
This event not only served as a platform to show appreciation for the services of senior MBI officers, but also strengthened the organisation’s spirit of camaraderie and togetherness in line with the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030 and Malaysia MADANI.
