IPOH LOW CARBON DAY 89TH SERIES HELD IN LIVELY ATMOSPHERE
IPOH, 25 OCTOBER 2026 – The Ipoh Low Carbon Day (ILCD) 89th Series was held in a lively atmosphere through the organising of the Yayasan Ipoh Colourbloom Fun Run, which gathered about 1,000 participants.
The programme, jointly organised by Ipoh City Council (MBI) and Yayasan Ipoh, reflects a continued commitment to promoting healthy lifestyle practices and raising public awareness of the importance of healthcare and environmental sustainability.
With the theme “Fitness in a Healthy Environment”, the five-kilometre (5KM) run aimed to foster an active lifestyle culture among city residents, in line with the aspirations of the National Agenda for a Healthy Malaysia (ANMS) 2030, which emphasises disease prevention, self-care and comprehensive community involvement.
Held at Dataran Bandaraya Ipoh, the programme was further enlivened by various side activities, including exhibitions by government and private agencies, health screenings and stalls operated by local entrepreneurs.
The organising of the ILCD 89th Series is hoped to continue enhancing public awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle, besides strengthening efforts to make Ipoh a healthier, more sustainable and prosperous city for all.
