MAYOR OF IPOH PARTICIPATES IN SEPAK TAKRAW LEAGUE DRAW SESSION FOR PENANG GRAND PRIX

IPOH, 21 OCTOBER 2026 – Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah was given the honour of participating in the Sepak Takraw League (STL) draw session for the Penang Grand Prix (GP), which was held at Stadium Indera Mulia in Ipoh yesterday.

The Mayor’s attendance was part of his active involvement with the Perak Sepak Takraw Association (PERSEDAR) and Astro in ensuring the success of the opening circuit of this prestigious tournament.

The session also served as a platform to bolster support for the sport of sepak takraw and to build excitement ahead of the upcoming GP competition in the STL.

The Penang GP for the CelcomDigi STL Premier 2026 competition will take place from 28 October to 1 November 2026 at the Balik Pulau Sports Complex, Penang.

It will be the second round of the Premier League GP series for this season.
