MBI LEVEL MAAL HIJRAH 1447H/2025M CELEBRATION
IPOH, 11 JULY 2025 – The Ipoh City Council (MBI) level Maal Hijrah 1447H/2025M celebration, organised by the MBI Islamic Affairs Subcommittee, was held with gratitude and reflection this morning.
The event aimed to promote the teachings of Islam and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among MBI Muslim staff.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, MBI Chief WHIP Clr. Dato' Mazlan Abd Rahman, MBI Councillor and Islamic Affairs Subcommittee Chairman Clr. Azmy Mohamed Nazir, PERKIP President Ahmad Marzuki Abdul Aziz, Council Members and MBI Department Heads.
There was also a special talk titled "Keluarga Digital Ummah Sejahtera" delivered by guest speaker Ustaz Syed Mohd Muzzaffar Syed Azlan, Imam Besar Masjid Sultan Azlan Shah, Ipoh. The talk was also broadcast live via Facebook Live for the benefit of more staff and the general public.This year's theme, "Hijrah dan Kelestarian: Menyatukan Ummah, Memulihara Bumi," carries a profound message about the need to migrate towards a more sustainable and united way of life for the benefit of the community and the environment.
Hopefully, this celebration can strengthen the determination and commitment of MBI staff and Ipoh residents to continue striving for positive change based on faith, while fostering brotherhood for the well-being of the ummah and the sustainability of the earth.
