PERAK CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION 2026

IPOH, 14 FEBRUARY 2026 – The Perak Chinese New Year Celebration 2026 was held with great festivity at Stadium Indera Mulia this evening.

The event was graced by HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.

HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja Di Hilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah were also in attendance.

Also present at the event were Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad and the Perak State Government leadership.

During the event, His Royal Highness presented duit raya to children from welfare homes around Perak.

Various interesting activities were held, including dragon dance performances, drum and cultural performances reflecting the diverse heritage of the community.

Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah also attended as a gesture of support for efforts to strengthen unity and harmony among the multiracial people in Perak.
