2025 ASSESSMENT TAX LUCKY DRAW SESSION FOR DECEMBER 2024

14 January 2025 - Ipoh Mayor Dato' Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud officiated the 2025 Assessment Tax Lucky Draw for December 2024 this morning.

It was also attended by MBI Council Chief WHIP Clr. Wong Kar Keat, Council Members, Senior Directors and MBI Department Heads.

The December 2024 Edition of the 2025 Assessment Tax Lucky Draw offered digital goods prizes totalling RM 5,015 to be won by five winners, with the grand prize of a 10.2-inch Apple iPad.

On 9 December 2024, the council conducted the monthly digital lucky draw for November 2024, and five winners were identified.

For everyone's information, the monthly Assessment Tax Lucky Draw programme is held as an announcement to the city residents that starting from the 2/2023 term, there will be no more physical bills sent to property owners.

Ipoh city residents can download the DMBI application or visit the MBI portal (Dmbi@ipoh) to check and make online payments.

This monthly lucky draw is only eligible for early payers who have settled their one-year payments without arrears online from 1 November to 31 December 2024.

This is a measure to encourage city residents to make payments without having to visit the counter, but still be able to participate in the Lucky Draw.

It also supports the Ipoh City Council's goal of becoming a Smart City by 2030.

The programme is a token of appreciation and gratitude to the early payers who have fulfilled their responsibilities to Ipoh City every year.

As of 12 January 2025, a total of 17,728 bills have made early payments for one year for the 2025 assessment tax, with a total payment RM 6.46 million.

The council is opening the opportunity for participation in this lucky draw to ALL payment channels that make Annual Assessment Tax payments without arrears, i.e., at Ipoh City Council Payment Counters, Post Office Counters, PERAK PBT Counters, Kiosk Machines, as well as online payments via the MBI Portal (DMBI@ipoh), PBTPay, Jompay, and also internet banking.

Today, MBI has conducted the draw for 5 winners for the December 2024 Edition, and these winners are still eligible to participate in the 2025 Assessment Tax Lucky Draw, which will be held after the payment deadline on 28 February 2025.

City residents who have not yet settled their assessment tax can make the payment immediately and still stand a chance to win the grand prize in the 2025 Lucky Draw, which is expected to be held in March 2025.

Hopefully, the continued strong support from Ipoh city residents for MBI will help realise MBI's aspiration to make Ipoh a Smart City.
