SPLiT MBI INNOVATION PROJECT WINS SECOND PLACE AT JOHOR SMART CITY AWARD 2025
IPOH, 23 SEPTEMBER 2025 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) continues to bring honour to the city as its SPLiT (Smart Traffic Management System) innovation project was once again shortlisted for the final judging round of the Johor Smart City Award 2025, Open Category (Government Sector), held in conjunction with the Johor Smart City Forum 2025 organised by the Johor Town and Country Planning Department (PLANMalaysia Johor).
MBI successfully secured second place out of 17 participating entries. The prize presentation ceremony was held during the Town Planning and Smart City Appreciation Night at Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor.
MBI was represented by two engineers from the Civil Engineering Department, namely Ridzauddin Mohd Radzi and Izdihar Niszar Syafiq Sarlan, who also attended the project presentation session and received the award.
This achievement demonstrates MBI's commitment to advancing the smart city agenda via innovations that can improve traffic management efficiency in Ipoh. MBI hopes that the SPLiT project can be expanded and replicated in other locations for the progress of the city and the well-being of the community.
