FACEBOOK POSTS REGARDING INDIVIDUALS ACTING AS MIDDLEMEN FOR KIOSK APPLICATIONS IN MBI AREAS

Ipoh City Council (MBI) would like to inform that there are Facebook posts regarding individuals acting as middlemen for kiosk applications in MBI areas. The fee charged is RM 1,500.00, including the licence fee.

MBI would like to stress that no permission has been granted to the individuals involved to manage the kiosk rental offers in MBI areas.

This promotion is a form of false and misleading advertising, and MBI advises interested members of the public to be careful.

MBI will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred by any party who accepts this illegally advertised offer.

The public is advised to contact the MBI office at the Hawker Management Unit, Department of Public Health and Municipal Services, to obtain accurate and authentic information regarding applications for any MBI-owned stall premises.

MBI would also like to issue a stern warning that the Council will not hesitate to take legal action against any individual or party found to be defaming, belittling or tarnishing the good name of MBI through the unauthorised use of the Council’s name, premises or official capacity.
