EARLY ASSISTANCE BY MBI TO FLOOD AREAS IN LARUT, MATANG AND SELAMA DISTRICT

TAIPING, 24 OCTOBER 2025 – The evacuation operations for flood victims in the Taiping area were carried out early this morning.

A total of 14 staff from the Ipoh City Council (MBI) Enforcement Department were mobilised as an early relief team to assist local authorities and rescue agencies in the affected areas.

The relief team has since returned to Ipoh after completing its initial assignment, but is ready to be mobilised if there is a need for post-flood assistance such as clean-up work, or if there is a subsequent flood wave in the area.

The Ipoh City Council extends its appreciation to all personnel involved for their compassion and high sense of responsibility in assisting the disaster victims.
