MBI ORGANISES 2025 STRATA COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME

IPOH, 5 AUGUST 2025 – A total of 200 participants attended the 2025 Strata Community Education and Empowerment Programme organised by the Ipoh City Council (MBI) at Dewan Cempaka, Ipoh today.

The one-day programme was officiated by MBI City Secretary and Deputy Building Commissioner Ahmad Munir Ishak, representing Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah.

Also present were MBI Councillors, as well as department and unit heads under the administration of MBI.

This initiative by the MBI Building Commissioner Branch aimed to provide exposure and knowledge to the management and the strata community regarding the implementation of the e-Invoice system in the Strata Building Scheme. It also included guidance on the handling of documents related to ownership, procurement and aspects of integrity in management.

The programme participants comprised Management Corporation Committee Members, Joint Management Body (JMB) Committee Members, developers and property management agents, including participation from representatives of Local Authorities (PBT) throughout Perak, as well as several government and private agencies.

Three main briefing sessions were held throughout the programme:

1. Management of e-Invoice Implementation in the Strata Building Scheme;
2. Introduction and Walkthrough of the MyInvois Portal;
3. Document Handling Before and After AGM/EGM Meetings.

Through the organisation of this programme, MBI hopes to empower the strata community with clearer knowledge and understanding of their respective roles and responsibilities in collective residential management. This will indirectly help create a more harmonious, safe and integrity-based living environment, while strengthening collaborative ties between the strata community and MBI.
