PERAK STATE GOVERNMENT MEET THE CLIENTS MESRA PROGRAMME SERIES 4 AND PRESENTATION OF 3RD YEAR PERAK SEJAHTERA 2030 PROGRESS REPORT IN LENGGONG

LENGGONG, 30 JUNE 2025 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad attended two important programmes in the Lenggong district today, demonstrating the State Government's continued commitment to strengthening public service delivery and evaluating the progress of state development policies.

The first event, the Perak State Government Meet The Clients Day Mesra Programme Series 4, was held from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon and received encouraging response from the local residents. This programme provided a direct opportunity for the people to voice their views, complaints and suggestions to the state government agencies, thereby strengthening the relationship between the government and the people.

The second programme was the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Third-Year Progress Report Presentation at Dewan Besar Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA in Lenggong. At this event, the Menteri Besar presented the latest achievements in the implementation of key initiatives under the Perak Sejahtera 2030 development plan, covering aspects of the economy, social issues, education and environmental sustainability.

The event was also attended by the Perak State Government leadership, heads of departments and local authorities, including Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah. Also present were Ipoh City Council Members led by Chief Whip Clr. Dato' Mazlan Abd. Rahman and Clr. Mr. Wong Kar Keat, along with several other Councillors who consistently demonstrate full commitment to the agenda of sustainable development and prosperity of Perak.

This year’s main focus is on economic development through the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) approach, as well as the five main economic pillars: Digital Economy, Purple Economy, Orange Economy, Blue Economy and Green Economy. In line with this, the Ipoh City Council was also given the opportunity to set up an exhibition booth to introduce Flagship 15 of the Perak Sejahtera Plan via the Ipoh Donut Economy City initiative under the Green Economy theme.

Ipoh is the first city in Asia to implement the Donut Economy Model as an effort to transition from a resource-based economy to a regenerative economy. In 2024, the Ipoh Donut Economy City initiative spearheaded by the Ipoh City Council received the prestigious Scroll of Honour Award from UN-Habitat. This demonstrator project is based on three main pillars: regenerative concepts, planetary health, and community empowerment.

The organisation of these two major programmes reflects the tireless efforts of the State Government and also State Government Agencies, including the Ipoh City Council, as key drivers in ensuring that the well-being of the people continues to be the main agenda under the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030.

geri dan juga Agensi Kerajaan Negeri sebagai penggerak termasuk Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh dalam memastikan kesejahteraan rakyat terus menjadi agenda utama di bawah aspirasi Perak Sejahtera 2030.
