THANKSGIVING CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH HRH SULTAN OF PERAK’S BIRTHDAY 2025

KUALA KANGSAR, 7 NOVEMBER 2025 – HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah graced the ‘Majlis Kesyukuran dan Doa Selamat’ (Thanksgiving Ceremony) in conjunction with the Birthday of HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah 2025 at Masjid Ubudiah in Kuala Kangsar.

The ceremony began at around 12:30 pm, and was attended by more than 500 congregants who gathered to express gratitude and pray for the well-being of HRH Sultan of Perak.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Assembly Speaker Dato’ Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin and State Financial Officer Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin.

Perak State Exco Members, Kuala Kangsar Territorial Chief Toh Maharaja Indera Dr. Khairil Anuar Arshad, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini, Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) Director Dato’ Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim, as well as heads of state and federal departments were also in attendance.

The ceremony was also attended by Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yasin and doa selamat led by Masjid Ubudiah Chief Imam Ustaz Badrul Husaini Baharudin. He also delivered the Friday sermon titled “Keadilan Raja – Kasih Rakyat: Tunjang Kemakmuran Negeri”, which emphasised the importance of a just ruler and the people’s love in strengthening understanding and loyalty to the royal institution.

After the sermon, HH Raja Muda Perak and HH Raja DiHilir Perak performed Friday prayers with the congregants, led by Masjid Ubudiah Second Imam Ustaz Syed Hazwan Syed Azmai.

As a sign of the people’s love and gratitude towards the Ruler, such thanksgiving ceremonies were also held simultaneously in all district mosques throughout Perak, led by the respective Territorial Chiefs and District Officers.
