IPOH, 25 OCTOBER 2025 – Ipoh City Council (MBI) will carry out bridge repair and related works at the Jalan Tun Abdul Razak Bridge in Ipoh from 14 October 2025 (Monday) to 6 January 2026 (Tuesday).
The implementation of this work is part of MBI’s ongoing maintenance efforts to ensure that the bridge structure remains safe, stable and compliant with current technical standards.
To facilitate the work and ensure the safety of road users, a full road closure will be implemented starting 30 October 2025 (Thursday), involving Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, Jalan Tun Perak and Jalan Persiaran Kidd.
During this period, road users are advised to obey warning signs, diversion guidelines and instructions from officers on duty. Alternative routes have also been provided to reduce traffic congestion around the Buntong, Silibin, Ipoh city centre, Jalan Lahat and Falim areas.

The public is also urged to plan their journeys in advance and follow MBI’s official announcement from time to time via MBI’s mass media and official social media channels.
The Ipoh City Council expresses its deep appreciation to all parties, especially the people of Ipoh, for their cooperation and support in the implementation of this project.
With the implementation of these repair works, MBI remains committed to ensuring that the city’s infrastructure is at the best level, in line with the aspirations of “Ipoh a Smart and Low Carbon City 2030” and “Perak Sejahtera 2030.”
