ASEAN YEAR OF SKILLS 2025 (NTW) CLOSING CEREMONY OFFICIATED BY PERAK MENTERI BESAR

IPOH, 21 JUNE 2025 – The Closing Ceremony of ASEAN Year of Skills 2025 in conjunction with National Training Week (NTW) was successfully held and officially closed by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.

This prestigious ceremony served as a symbol of the ASEAN countries’ commitment to strengthening the skills development agenda, in line with the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the needs of the future job market.

Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah also attended the ceremony as a sign of support from the Ipoh City Council for initiatives to empower a highly skilled workforce, particularly at the city level.

The two-day NTW programme brought together various training agencies, higher learning institutions, industries and local communities in an effort to broaden access to skills training and strengthen regional strategic cooperation.

Hopefully, this initiative will produce a new generation that is highly skilled, competitive and capable of driving national and ASEAN regional development towards a more sustainable and inclusive future.
