LIVELY FISHING COMPETITION IN CONJUNCTION WITH IPOH CITY 37TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AT GUNUNG LANG RECREATION PARK

IPOH, 21 JUNE 2025 – In conjunction with the Ipoh City 37th Anniversary Celebration, a lively Fishing Competition was held at Gunung Lang Recreation Park this morning with the participation of over 150 individuals from various walks of life.

Ipoh Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah officiated the flag-off at exactly 8.00 am as a symbolic opening of the competition. Also present to enliven the event were City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak, and heads of departments of the Ipoh City Council.

This competition was not only held to enliven the city anniversary celebration, but also served as a platform to foster closer ties, strengthen the spirit of unity, and promote a healthy lifestyle among the residents of Ipoh.

The Ipoh City Council hopes that the organisation of such activities will continue to receive strong support and become one of the annual events eagerly awaited by the local community as a symbol of togetherness and love for the city,
